Oh hello,

I’m a UX Designer based in Minneapolis. I am the proud uncle of a young niece and nephew. I enjoy NBA basketball (go Timberwolves) and believe Nas will someday be rightfully recognized as the greatest rapper of all time.

In the time before UX, I was in the Army, served my fellow veterans in Hennepin County, and worked as an organizer (political, community, labor). While I didn’t know it then, I’ve been practicing principles of user experience for a long time. Through volunteer management (mapping successful user journeys), coordinating large events and trainings (strategic planning, brainstorming, research and writing), having all sorts of roles in campaigns (decision-making, collaboration, and communication), listening to people share their stories with real stakes on the line for a disability claim or an issue in the workplace (empathy, active listening), or navigating the relationships of mature organizations (stakeholder engagement) I have skills that are highly transferable for my new journey.
